Key Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain the cleanliness of all areas within the manufacturing facility. Sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated bins and containers throughout the facility.
• Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, to ensure they are sanitary and well-maintained.
• Break Room Care: Keep break rooms clean and organized, including cleaning tables, countertops, and appliances. Restock paper towels, soap, and other supplies as needed.
• Supply Inventory: Monitor cleaning supply levels and inform the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. Keep janitorial closets organized and tidy.
• Safety Awareness: Maintain a strong commitment to safety by promptly addressing any spills, debris, or hazards that could pose a risk to employees. Report safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures related to janitorial duties, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Special Projects: Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned, such as floor waxing, window washing, or deep cleaning tasks.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other members of the janitorial team to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of the facility.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
