Job Description

Instrumentation Technician Job Type: ContractLocation: LivoniaCompensation: $22-28/hr.  The Instrumentation Technician will install test equipment in development vehicles such as thermocouples, transducers, sensors, fiberoptics, accelerometers. The role will build, modify, adjust and calibrate installed devices. This role will build and install low voltage wire harnesses to drawings and schematics. The Instrumentation Technician I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.

*No travel is required

Qualifications:
 • High school diploma or equivalent.
 • Mechanical experience required.
 • Able to follow procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects, such as work requests, shop procedures and shop manuals,    publications or schematic diagrams.
 • Good organizational skills and works well independently and as part of a team.
 • Good communication and time management skills.
 • Able to work overtime and weekends.
 • Good attention to detail

Preferred Skills:
 • Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.
 • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
 • State Mechanic Certification(s)
 • Experience performing soldering, crimping, tube bending, component layout and packaging on vehicles or subsystems.
 • Knowledge of proper installation of thermocouples and pressure transducers.
