Job Description


Job Overview:

This person will be responsible for maintenance (preventative and planned), troubleshooting, and repairs of production equipment, as well as plant/facility maintenance. A thorough understanding of vision systems, cylinders and valves, air compressors, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems is key.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide preventative maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repairs on the assembly line and EOL (end of the line) vision systems.
  • Provide on-site technical support during startup and commissioning of new installations.
  • Establish and maintain standards and maintenance of equipment in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement by utilizing 5S principles and leading business process improvement efforts plant wide.
  • Use knowledge of company projects to engage with vendors to provide information and resolve questions or concerns. 
  • Develop, interpret, and implement policies and procedures.
  • Consult AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and CILR (Clean Inspect Lubricate & Retighten) programs with Operations team.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, keep detailed record of all maintenance performed, and review with ME team.
  • Support maintenance & ME meetings, operator training, and quality as needed.
  • Instruct others in operation, set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Update AM, PM and CILR paperwork as needed.
  • Lead by example in safety, health & environmental awareness, and ensure quality adheres to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 yrs. experience in mechanical maintenance, fluid power (hydraulics) troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in vision system and servo motor maintenance.
  • Strong Safety knowledge and awareness.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Duration / Shift / Hourly Compensation
  • 10-month contract with the anticipation of a direct-hire upon completion.
  • Monday - Thursday, 5:00AM - 3:30PM (3-day weekend).
  • $24-28/hour.
