Full-Time Department: Maintenance Location: Cartersville, GAPosition SummaryThe Maintenance Electrician / Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems throughout the facility. This role supports continuous production by maintaining industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, works independently, and collaborates effectively with operators and maintenance team members.Essential Responsibilities & DutiesElectrical Responsibilities
Analyze and correct electrical problems; repair, overhaul, and maintain electrical equipment, controls, and systems.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Install, repair, calibrate, service, and replace electrical and electronic devices, circuits, and control systems.
Perform electrical work in compliance with OSHA requirements, statutory codes, and company safety procedures.
Install, maintain, and repair power distribution, communication cables, and associated components; splice cables as required.
Test, troubleshoot, and replace faulty components, circuit boards, and electronic devices.
Fabricate parts when not commercially available using hand and machine tools.
Start up and shut down equipment safely following established procedures.
Identify potential electrical hazards, notify supervision, and recommend corrective actions.
Support all facility electrical needs including extrusion, masterbatch, finishing, warehouse, and other company operations as required.
Mechanical Responsibilities
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble industrial machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical failures by observing equipment operation, reviewing error messages, and analyzing test data.
Repair or replace worn, broken, or malfunctioning mechanical components.
Clean, lubricate, align, and adjust machinery to maintain optimal performance.
Cut, weld, and fabricate metal parts as needed to repair or build equipment.
Operate repaired equipment to verify proper operation.
Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer manuals for installation and repair procedures.
Enter codes and instructions to modify, test, or program computer-controlled machinery.
Demonstrate equipment operation and safety features to machine operators.
Record maintenance work performed, parts used, and requisition materials as needed.
Maintain all facility systems including extrusion, masterbatch, finishing, and general facility maintenance.
General Responsibilities
Follow all department and facility safety rules and procedures.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas.
Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams.
Comply with Aquafil Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
