Job Description
Summary:Our client is a global technical professional services firm that focuses on planning, designing managing and operating complex projects and programs around the world. They are currently looking for an Industrial Electrician to join their team. In this role this person will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing facilities for electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, apparatus and devices as well as performing general equipment maintenance and repair. Responsibilities:
Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment.
Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits etc.
Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components.
Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, sensors and motors
Plan layouts of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment.
Qualifications:
Successfully completed Electrical Apprenticeship Program or graduated from a certified technical school and achieved Journeyman status.
Five (5) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience in a manufacturing facility.
Strong general mechanical, electrical, plumping aptitude.
Strong Electrical Power Distribution Knowledge and experience
Trained on NFPA 70E, Aerial Lift / Boom lift Certified.
Training in motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives, and PLC / BMS controls.
Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, identify electrical components, and extensive knowledge in troubleshooting control circuits.
Experience with voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, meggers and amp-probes.
Knowledge of motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives, PLC controllers, and power distribution systems
Familiarity with low voltage and fire alarm systems.
