Are you an experienced HR professional? Our client in New Market, VA is looking to add an HR Generalist to their team. The Generalist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR office. This will be a Monday-Friday, 7a-3p schedule and pay will start at $22.50/hour.
Responsibilities
-Compile and enter data for all EEO/AAP programs to ensure equal opportunity employment.
-Recruit, interview, and oversee selection of employees.
-Plan and approve new employee orientation.
-Oversee all record keeping for personnel transactions, benefits, and safety and health regulations.
-HRIS
-Administer general policies and procedures to be followed by facility personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Employee communications.
-Employee Relations—including conducting confidential investigations.
-Assure accurate preparation of reports related to human resource functions.
-Support the development of the HR department processes, procedures and personnel.
-Perform other related duties assigned by the Human Resources Manager and General Manager.
-Worker’s compensation record keeping.
-Assist with open enrollment.
-Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
-Bachelor of Science in Business Management or Human Resource Management preferred; minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
-Knowledge and experience in FMLA, STD, AAP, ADA, Workers’ Compensation
-Excellent communication skills both verbal and written form. Computer/ Database skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office.
-Bilingual preferred.
-Must have excellent attendance and reliability.
