Job Title: Custodian – Cleaning Location: Cookeville Pay Rate: $11.00/HRJob Summary: We are hiring dependable Custodians/Cleaning Technicians to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on a school or college campus. This role is essential to the daily operations of the campus, supporting students, faculty, and staff with professional janitorial services.Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas
Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, and fixtures
Refill supplies like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
Lock and unlock buildings/rooms as scheduled
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs
Follow all safety procedures and cleaning protocols
Requirements:
Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs during shift
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends, depending on the shift
Must pass background check (as required for working in school environments)
