Horizontal Wetter Operator

Monday-Friday, some Weekends required.

4AM-4PM 

$17.30/hour

Join our client's team as a Horizontal Wetter Operator and be part of a dynamic manufacturing environment where your skills will make a real impact! This role offers a chance to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends, in a fast-paced setting where you'll operate machinery and ensure product quality. Responsibilities:
  • Carefully transport rolls of paper from storage area to machine
  • Load the paper onto the electric lift to the proper position.
  • Thread paper through machine down to the winding roller
  • Start the machine
  • Check and adjust moisture level, tension on the brake and regulate the position of the slitting attachment. 
  • Pick up finished wet roll with lift pushcart and deliver to storage area or production. 
  • Mix water and wax solution in tanks.
  • Responsible for cleaning equipment and workstation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 
  • High school Degree or GED
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Must have the ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 2-8 lbs. continuously and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must adhere to company policies safety rules and regulation, and wear PPE.

Work Environment: 
  • Work primarily in a non-climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required. 
  • This role operates in a manufacturing environment. Employee is exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months. Exposure to liquid waxes and water-based pigments of color.
