Senior Human Resources GeneralistDirect Hire$105-115k This position will work in at the Michigan location in the Auburn Hills area for about one year and will eventually move to Florida- must be willing to relocate to Florida. Assistance is provided. Job responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Manages prescreen process for new hires including releasing the background checks, preparing proper documentation for drug screen and physical exams and routing instructions to new hires.
Responsible for onboarding new hires, including assigning related onboarding training, providing orientation on first day of hire, and completing I-9 verifications.
Works inside the HRIS (UKG) for full-cycle recruiting, onboarding and team member data management.
Works inside of the Learning Management System to create user accounts, and assign training courses as needed
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; terminations and unemployment claims, occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Sr. Vice President of People Development.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field required.
At least 5 years of human resources experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Ability to convey a positive and professional attitude towards applicants and employees, ability to work effectively with both employees and management
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of personnel work
