Position: Frame Grinder Location: Owosso Pay: $16.39 Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, OT is likely and may occur on the weekend Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing role where quality and attention to detail matter? Do you enjoy working with tools in a fast-paced shop environment? Our Owosso-based client is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Grinder to join their fabrication team. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a quality-driven metal manufacturing operation. Duties:
Grind and smooth rough spots on metal frames using hand grinders
Smooth welds using belt sanders
Lift and place mesh table tops onto fixtures for crimping
Use hand crimpers to crimp mesh tops without leaving marks
Inspect frames to ensure quality standards are met
Straighten and level frames using hand tools
Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and use hands for extended periods
Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise
Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
High school diploma or GED preferred
1–3 months of related experience or training is a plus (but not required)
