Hiring Now: General Laborers$18.5/hr paid weekly1st Shift 5am-3pm M-F2nd shift 3pm-1am M-Th Merrill, WI Job SummaryThe General Operator is responsible for operating production machines to manufacture wire-formed parts safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role includes basic machine adjustments, quality checks, housekeeping, and supporting overall production goals.Key Responsibilities
Operate various production machines within assigned work area.
Follow all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Make minor machine adjustments; notify Lead or Setup personnel for larger issues.
Perform basic preventive maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning.
Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure quality and close tolerances.
Count, clean, package, and move parts as required.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Follow production schedules, work instructions, and quality standards.
Assist other operators and support cross-training as needed.
Operate forklift or powered industrial truck when trained.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.
Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent use of hands, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Must wear required safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Ability to use basic hand tools.
Ability to read instructions, perform basic math, and follow safety procedures.
