Job Description

Job Title: CNC Tooling MachinistLocation: Owosso, MichiganHours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMPay: $16 - 18+/hr  Do you have light tooling or CNC experience and high attention to detail? Are you comfortable working with grinders and other power tools? We are currently seeking a grinder to join our team in Owosso, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a machine shop setting, demonstrating proficiency in Grinding, measuring with calipers, micrometers and holding tolerance. Responsibilities:
  • Must be math minded, and able to measure with calipers, micrometers and the ability to hold tolerance.
  • Verify parts meet dimensional and surface quality inspections
  • Record and inspect data
  • Monitor grinding operations to detect problems such as wheel wear, vibration, or overheating.
  • Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety protocols for handling grinding machines and materials.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to measure with calipers, micrometers and holding tolerance
  • 1 year of solid experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Must be able to stand all day.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
