Full-Time CNC Machinist – Turning Department (Weekend Shift)
Location: Northern Macomb/ Southern St. Clair County area.

We are representing a highly respected manufacturing client that is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Turning Department on the Afternoon Shift (Monday through Thursday). This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE opportunity for someone who is not only technically skilled, but also takes genuine pride in maintaining and caring for the machines they operate.
Position Overview:This role focuses on operation and maintenance of Swiss Screw Machines, 5-Axis Mazak, and Brother Milling Machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership over the equipment and work area, and a solid understanding of production and quality processes. Key Responsibilities:
Operate assigned CNC turning machines safely and efficiently
Perform tool changes and offsets as required
Complete daily startup and production procedures
Conduct quality inspections based on control plans
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow preventative maintenance schedules and monitor equipment performance
Coordinate with material control on raw stock requirements
Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed accurately
Prepare the workstation for the next shift
Candidate Requirements:
Experience with multi-axis turning centers
Setup experience and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
Familiarity with standard inspection tools and techniques
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Commitment to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Flexibility to assist in other areas as production needs require
Schedule:
Afternoon shift: Monday through Thursday
Overtime may be required based on production needs
