Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
As a Forklift Operator, responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Using a forklift to load and unload trailers.
- Move automotive parts from the warehouse to the assembly line.
- Use RF scanning equipment to verify inventory information.
- Perform quality checks per company/customer specifications.
- Ensure product is labeled and free from defect.
- Follow all safety and operational guidelines associated with operating a forklift.
- Complete equipment inspection checklist
- Accurately complete all paperwork/documentation associated with the position.
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping or removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance at work
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 to 3 years or experience in the related field.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Attentive and able to concentrate.
- Able to follow directions and procedures accurately.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting.
- Ability to be a team player and work flexible hours/schedule if required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to read and understand applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
