Fluid Controls Engineer, Farmington Hills, MI. 
  • Contract to Direct Hire Conversion
  • $39-$53

The Fluid Hardware Engineer will provide technical support for the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems. This inpidual will be responsible for the technical engineering components of the quote, design, build, and so that the project meets specifications and complies with customer expectations.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

 Summary
  • Develop Fluid and controls system design solutions based on customer speciation
  • Develop Fluid design, schematics and drawings in AutoCAD and ePlan.
  • Provide technical support for equipment.
  • Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team.
  • Report job status to project engineer.
  • Interpret mechanical design drawings for fluid requirements.
  • Review supplier products for assembly components per specifications from customer. 
  • Help establish new and maintain existing standards.
  • Develop fluid bill of materials.
  • Provide support at the Power up phase for electrical systems.

Competency
  •  MS Office 2010 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy.

Experience
  • Requires 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Several years of Pneumatic / Hydraulic / Lube experience.
  • Must be Familiar with Festo, SMC, and Parker Hannifin Equipment.
  • Some plant floor experience required.
  • AutoCAD and ePlan electrical experience necessary.
  • Familiarity with Industrial standards.
  • Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
