Field Service Technician

Qualified Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our client’s team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in the field. You will also play a crucial role in training customers on equipment usage and providing assistance with machine installations. This position requires a valid driver's license, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in the field.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Provide training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Assist with the installation of machines at customer sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and document any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous experience with packaging machines or similar equipment.
  • 2+ years of related experience or training in a similar field.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, which may include nights and weekends.

Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on problem-solving and providing timely solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to customers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Information:
  • This position requires extensive travel, up to 60% of the time, including nights and weekends.
  • All travel expenses are paid by company: airfare, hotel, rental car, all meals.
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required.

Pay: $28 - $32 per hour
