Fiberglass Laminator Are you looking to work in a quick pace and fun environment that will allow you to advance in the company and apply your skills? This position is a temp-to-hire position that has the opportunity to be hired on full-time (with benefits!) after 90 days. Apply now! 1st Shift 6am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday's additional time may be required on Fridays 6am to noon. $18 hr. Duties and Responsibilities
Release air bubbles and smooth seams, using rollers.
Select and cut fiberglass mats and cloth as required by items being made.
Pat or press layers of saturated mat or cloth into place on molds, using brushes or hands, and smooth out wrinkles and air bubbles with hands or rollers.
Mix catalysts into resins, and saturate cloth mats with mixtures, using brushes.
Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects by measuring with rulers or micrometers, by checking them visually, or by tapping them to detect bubbles or dead spots.
Trim excess materials from molds, using hand shears or trimming knives.
Repair or modify damaged or defective glass-fiber parts, checking thickness, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair.
Cure materials by letting them set at room temperature, placing them underheat lamps, or baking them in ovens.
Qualifications
Preferred experience in carpentry, construction or fiber glass work.
Able to use your hands and eyes for accurate precession when working with materials and final product.
Preferred experience with reading a micrometer.
Able to work as a team or independently.
Be comfortable around strong odors
