Our local client is looking for a full-time Facility Coordinator IMMEDIATELY!

Temp-to-hire for the right candidate - duties and pay rate increase if/when hired on by our client!

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for overall daily maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of Senior Center
  • Vacuum all carpeted surfaces as needed
  • Sweep/wash hard surface floors as needed
  • Strip and wax all hard surfaced floors two times per year
  • Clean entire main floor (1st floor) including glass entrance way and doors, lobby,  bathrooms, Cafe’ and travel office as needed (includes trash removal)
  • Clean entire second floor including staff offices, board room, meeting rooms, craft room, computer lab, work room and two bathrooms as needed (includes trash removal)
  • Ensure cleanliness of stairwells and elevator
  • Sweep floors and remove trash as needed in basement
  • Responsible for upkeep of building grounds to include debris removal
  • Set-up and ensure that rooms and A/V equipment are ready and working for all programs and events at least 15 minutes prior to start
  • Manage all contracted facility vendor relations
  • Purchase facility supplies, (does not include office supplies)
  • Responsible for purchasing, maintaining and refilling coffee supplies in the Library
  • Responsible for recycling ink cartridges
  • Responsible for the entire operations of the Cafe to include inventory, ordering supplies, cash out and counting register each day, supervision of café volunteers, payment of tax bills, act as liaison with Whole Foods for purchasing
  • Coordinate all rental set ups and break downs
  • Some weekend work required as needed
  • Assist Finance Director with all facility management projects
  • Assist Finance Director in maintaining all facility inventory, including all A/V equipment and computer equipment in the Computer Lab
  • Assist Finance Director in coordinating and scheduling safety reviews including alarm, elevator, sprinkler, fire extinguisher and defibrillator upkeep and inspections
  • Assist Finance Director with facility budget
  • Responsible for all aspects of volunteer management for volunteers under position’s responsibility: create and develop volunteer positions, recruit volunteers, train, supervise, evaluate and recognize these volunteers
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Finance Director

Required

  • Minimum of three years custodial service experience
  • Positive attitude towards senior population
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and handle multiple tasks
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years work experience

Preferred

  • 3 years maintenance experience
  • BS in environmental Science or related field
  • IT experience, electrical and HVAC experience, electrical plumbing, sound system experience, A/V experience

Physical

  • Regularly required to stand and lift to perform duties
  • Frequently required to walk around center to check on facility, programs and equipment
  • Performs physical projects, e.g. moving tables, chairs and A/V equipment
  • Able to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot, cold
