Fabrication Technician
Location: Richmond, VAPay: Competitive, Starting at $22-24/hourSchedule: Full-time | Day Shift Our client is seeking a Fabrication Technician to join their Custom Solutions team. This role is essential in building high-quality, custom fluid system assemblies that meet precise customer specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled with tools, and thrives in an environment where quality, craftsmanship, and accuracy matter. Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Assembly
  • Assemble fluid systems using components such as tubing, fittings, valves, regulators, and manifolds.
  • Perform tube cutting, bending, and other fabrication steps to exact specifications.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment including orbital welders, tube benders, and pressure-testing systems.
  • Assemble products according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality guidelines.
 Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct functional tests—pressure testing, leak checks, and performance validation.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, safety, and quality compliance.
  • Identify and correct fabrication issues to maintain high manufacturing standards.
 Maintenance & Organization
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure consistent performance.
 Documentation & Reporting
  • Accurately document fabrication steps, materials used, and test results.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and improvement opportunities with supervisors and team members.
 Collaboration & Training
  • Work closely with the Custom Solutions Manager, engineers, and teammates to align with customer requirements.
  • Assist in training new team members on fabrication techniques, safety, and quality processes.
 Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, measuring tools, and precision equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
 Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move 5–25 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, or stooping.
  • Occasional climbing or balancing.
  • Must be able to pass a visual acuity exam.
