Qualified Staffing is currently looking for an Estimator for a West Point, MS industrial facility. Responsibilities for this position include maintaining existing and develop new relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers, Reading, interpreting, and reviewing project drawings and specifications from Architects and Engineers, Developing accurate estimates from project drawings and specifications including taking off materials that are to be included in projects, estimating proper labor, detailing, buyout items, freight, engineering, etc. Additionally, they will submit, negotiate, and complete sales process for projects and estimate, price, and submit change orders.
Qualified candidates will have strong computer skills in Microsoft word and excel, attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Preferred skills are General knowledge of AWS welding codes, verifiable experience with construction estimating or project management, knowledge of estimating structural steel, and experience in reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications.
