We are partnering with a leading manufacturer in Adairsville to find a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Assistant. About the RoleIn this position, you will support the Project Manager with day-to-day project execution and also take ownership of smaller-scale projects. You will coordinate equipment inquiries, installations, and progress reports, ensuring smooth communication across departments and external vendors. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, organized, and driven by results. Key Responsibilities
Track plant equipment inquiries, orders, and installations
Monitor and report on site progress
Assist the Project Manager with project coordination and execution
Independently manage smaller project assignments
Prepare technical documentation and specifications
Perform research and analysis to support engineering decisions
Collaborate with internal teams across design, production, and quality assurance
Communicate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors
Maintain up-to-date project records and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards
Support other tasks as directed by the Project Manager
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field
2 to 3 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role
Proficiency in reading AutoCAD drawings
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Positive work ethic and reliability
Familiarity with project management principles and safety standards preferred
