Emergency Medical Technician

Location: All Training in Flint, MI

Service: Genesee, Tri-County, and Lapeer

Pay: $16

Hours: Variable

Our Flint based client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated EMT to assist in the transportation and care of sick and/or injured patient(s). Train towards certification in becoming a Paramedic through their advanced training courses that exceed the US-DOT’s National Standard Curriculum. This position will not last long! Apply today!

Requirements
  • Ensure proper BLS treatment is provided
  • Maintain patient Confidentiality
  • Follow all policies and procedures as directed by the medical control Authorities and Client
  • Provide careful examination for signs and symptoms of illness/injury and assist other medical professionals as necessary
  • Careful and safe handling of patient while transportation to the ambulance as well as to the appropriate medical facility
  • Monitor patient
  • Maintain response readiness for all calls
  • Collect and prioritize medical information regarding patients
  • Documenting records and information
  • Complete daily checks of vehicles equipment before every shift
  • All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Michigan License as an EMT-Basic
  • Must have current AHA Health Care Provider CPR.
  • Must obtain a Trauma and Pediatric Certification within six months of employment
  • Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s License
  • Must have a clear driving record. (A driving run record will be obtained as condition of employment for a driving status.)
  • Must maintain all certifications and license as applicable to this position. All licenses and certifications must be kept with inpidual while on duty.
  • Must have emergency driving safety course. (If not certified, must obtain within six months of employment)
  • Strong Communication skills including verbal and written with ability to demonstrate
  • Required to Maintain all national, state and local certifications
