Lapeer manufacturer of tools, gages, fixtures, and dies, specializing in fabricating tubing for applications ranging from brake lines to truck exhaust, using a variety of materials such as aluminum, carbon steel, aluminized steel, and stainless steel is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician/Electrician for their team. This is a 1st Shift position, Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM, with some possible Saturday overtime. Once fully trained, hours would change to 8AM– 4:30PM, Monday -Friday, and on call every other Saturday. Pay is based on experience and would be in the range of $23-26 per hour. This is not a managerial position. Candidates must have a proven work history as a Maintenance Technician and Electrician and submit a full, updated resume for consideration. Apply Now! RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING: * Repair and maintain machinery, mechanical/hydraulic equipment and buildings.* Perform preventative maintenance on all machines, tools, equipment and facilities.* Must have Electrical/Electrician experience.* Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.* Rebuild, repair, and/or replace equipment/machinery/parts.* Perform a variety of electrical, plumbing, and/or carpentry functions.* Complete maintenance logs.* Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS JOB (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
Must be able to communicate clearly to supervision and peers.
Take instruction from supervisor and from trainer.
Have interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team atmosphere; display a positive attitude.
Must have good attendance.
Must be able to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide; skilled use of a calculator acceptable.
Must be able to read a tape measure up to 1/16” increments; display mechanical ability and aptitude.
Those authorized to perform machine set‐ups must perform and install safety features to ensure optimum safety to the employee, operator and equipment.
Must have Electrical and Electrician experience.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:* Properly lift and handle parts up to 25 lbs.* Requires regularly bending, stooping and stretching daily.* Flexibility and ability to move from one task to another without difficulty.* Maintain a clean and organized area; sweep and remove debris; put tools and equipment in proper locations.* Follow all safety and company regulations.
