ELECTRICAL ENGINEER- Direct Hire- Caro! SUMMARY:Lead in creating and managing test equipment and specialty projects. Programming knowledge using LabVIEW, C or C++. Supervise work, which is highly creative and involves the design and/or fabrication of special test devices and equipment.  Analyses data and makes recommendations on unusual and difficult technical problems within the limits of general practices and standards. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support company goals and objectives
  • Test equipment maintenance and upgrades (software and electrical controls)
  • Working with technicians on test set ups and machine troubleshooting
  • Develop unique data acquisition and control systems for special testing
  • Stay current with industry testing standards, specifications, and technology
  • Plans and meets project and test schedules
  • Ensure compliance to ISO17025 laboratory quality standard requirements, and corporate TS16949 requirements
  • Keeps management informed of developments as required
  • Assists by providing laboratory service in support of quality control audits and evaluation of customer issues
  • Communicates with outside vendors and customers on problems involving test procedures
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Technical knowledge and capabilities typically acquired in the completion of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (four year engineering degree required)
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Preferred experience in a laboratory environment, and/or a strong instrumentation background
  • Electrical design experience is a plus
  • PCB repair experience is a plus
  • Ability to effectively work with others, motivating co-workers and eliciting work output
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred
  • Familiarity with the more complex mechanical and/or electrical concepts
  • Ability to read engineering drawings/documents and working knowledge of engineering math
  • Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
  • Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
