Compensation: $150,000 to $160,000 Base Salary + 10% Management Bonus The Qualified Professional Technical Group has been engaged to locate an exceptional General Manager of Operations to lead our client’s team near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our client is a world leader in industrial process controls and automation in the heat treatment and combustion markets. They Develop and supply process control instrumentation, sensors, and digital solutions critical to safe, accurate, and repeatable thermal processes. RESPONSIBILITIES:GMO has responsibilities of day-to-day leadership and companywide operations for the following departments: Engineering Departments, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Safety and Environmental. In conjunction with the President of Operations, this position’s leadership will help reinforce the company’s long-term strategy by way of these key bullet points.
Oversee day-to-day operations
Collaborating with President of Operations and President of Sales & Services as needed
Create business initiatives, operation strategies and policies often related to minimizing expenses
Communicating business strategy and policy to employees and delegating projects
Participate in the development and execution of the company's business plans
Change agent, who spearheads new initiatives
Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
Enforce policies that promote company culture and vision
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Appoint department heads or managers and assign or delegate responsibilities to them
Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change
Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of the company to ensure continuing operations, or to increase productivity
Assist in the preparation of budgets and CAPEX for approval
Implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems
Understand international standards, NFPA 86, OSHA, EPA
Travel domestically and international as required
Maintain high level of integrity and commitment to quality and safety
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
Must have in depth understanding of automation and controls, sensors, and PLCs’
Prefer 10+ years of experience in the Heat Treat Industry
Familiarity with industrial furnace design, controls, and automation systems
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams
Experience in strategic planning and execution, especially in the area of engineering and manufacturing Ability to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
