Digital Press Operator
Location: Grand RapidsWage: 17+ Depending on ExperienceShift: Training on 1st shift for 4 months, then moving to 2nd shift

Summary:
The Digital Press Operator will have knowledge of the setup, operating requirements, procedures, maintenance, capabilities and limitations of Digital equipment. Manage press speed, monitor inks, color, finish and adjust to maintain quality. Maintain safety, quality, maintenance and good manufacturing practices.
Essential Functions
• Completes the set-up of the digital press machines
• Maintains the digital press machines and performs preventive maintenance
• Performs the full range of standard and specialized stitching, folding and cutting of digital format materials
• Reads and interprets written work orders and other job specifications containing production specifications required to complete the work
• Maintains accuracy in accordance with instructions provided and visually inspects all work
• Records accurate counts on production count sheet
• Assures the highest level of professionalism and personal performance necessary to meet or exceed performance goals set by the company for customer service excellence, safety, efficiency and profitability
• Other projects and duties as assigned

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
• Good judgment skills and the ability to work unsupervised
