Job Description

Our customer, a Lapeer based manufacturer high-visibility automotive components, is looking for an experienced 3rd Shift Die Setter in their molding department. This is a direct hire position. $17 to $21/hr. based on experience.  Apply Now or Call Qualified Staffing Lapeer at (810) 664-0573 JOB OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                                                                                                
  1. Perform scheduled mold changes on a timely basis.
  2. Perform housekeeping duties as needed “6S” or required.
  3. Relieve operators for breaks as required.
  4. Set-up work area as required with the utility.
  5. Perform light duty mold repairs as needed or requested (i.e. water line, vacuum line, etc.).
  6. Complete all check sheets, repair forms, and other forms as required.
  7. Perform last shot when pulling a mold.
  8. Process improvements as needed or required.
  9. Report all safety and machine problems through the proper channels.
  10. Comply with all company and MIOSHA Safety regulations
  11. Recommend and participate in quality and productivity improvements.
 REQUIREMENTS 
  1. Must have at least 1 year of continuous die setting experience
  2. Machine and process knowledge
  3. Experience with hi-lo and currently licensed
  4. Overhead crane training and currently licensed
  5. Experience with lock out/tag out 
  6. Hi-Lo Training & licensed
