Job Description

DATA ANALYST  SUMMARY: The Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives by designing programs, reports, visualizations, and managing data through knowledge of and use of the core system and enterprise-wide data platform. This position will also support the marketing strategy with targeting for and tracking all marketing activities.

RESONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards to provide real-time data to business lines. Present the reports and analysis to management when requested. 
  • Serve as the data expert providing analytical solutions for employees across the
     organization. 
  • Perform ad-hoc strategic analysis with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to create solutions for product development and strategic initiatives. 
  • Have a strong knowledge of products and services, as well as an understanding of the overall operation.
  • Have a strong understanding of the core processing system.
  • Actively seek opportunities to innovate using analytics methodologies.
  • Identify competitive advantages and develop tactics to maximize those advantages.
  • Conduct research into existing and potential new markets and report findings that show competitive advantages.
  • Propose new marketing strategies by identifying opportunities within the database.
  • Measure and report performance of overall company performance and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, managers, and business stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities and translate them into actionable insights. 
  • Manage data quality by identifying errors in data records and manage processes to
     improve the data.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical
     audiences through detailed reports, presentation, and data visualizations.
  • Extract meaningful business insights from complex datasets through analysis,
     visualization, and collaboration, supporting data-driven decisions and business growth.
  • Document all processes used for regular maintenance and operation of databases.
  • Actively participate as a part of the Marketing team. 
  • Be a brand steward, upholding brand standards and consistency in all projects.
  • Occasional travel to other locations, functions, and training facilities will be required.
  • Promotes, cross-sells, and markets all products and services at every opportunity.
  • Always present a professional positive image to members and potential members.
  • Will comply with all Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and other federal requirements as outlined in policies and procedures.
  • Embrace and apply guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
     
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Data Analytics, Computer Science or Marketing Research. Master’s Degree in Marketing Research, Computer Science or Business Analytics preferred. 
  • Three years of database management and research experience required. Marketing research and data management experience in a financial institution preferred.
     Requires proficient, frequent, and ongoing use of database software platforms. Strong fundamental knowledge of financial institution operation and marketing is required. 
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Pandas, Power BI, Jupyter Notebook, SMSS, and Excel. Strong technical skills in areas such as statistics, data visualization, data cleaning, data mining, and preparation.
