Qualified Staffing is seeking a Cost Accountant for a Full-Time, DIRECT HIRE position in Oxford, NC. About the RoleWe’re looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to manage key accounting functions, including cost analysis, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure accuracy, improve processes, and maintain compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities
Oversee receivables collection and resolve invoice discrepancies with customer service & sales teams.
Analyze cost impacts of product design, raw materials, and manufacturing changes.
Assist with physical inventories and cycle count monitoring.
Work with purchasing to track and report pricing changes proactively.
Participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare financial reports and trend analyses for management.
Support annual audits and recommend process improvements.
Maintain internal controls to ensure financial security.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of Access & SQL is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset and numerical aptitude.
Experience with general ledger functions and financial reporting.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
