Cook Room Assistant

Louisburg, NC

1st Shift ($14/hr) & 2nd Shift ($15/hr)

Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:
  • Will prepare and cook medium to large batches of product
  • Must follow storage and preparation processes, and procedures for equipment used (freezers, coolers, mixers and choppers).
  • Measure and/or weigh ingredients.
  • Set up, take down, clean and troubleshoot cook room and prep room equipment. 
  • Complete all housekeeping and sanitation requirements that promote health and safety.
  • Comple all paperwork requirements (quality checks and audits).
  • Adhere to all company policies.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., multiple times during the day.
  • Must be able to convert units of measure (example: gallons to ounces)
  • Must be able to use an electric hand truck/forklift and follow best practices.
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Prior experience in the food industry is a MUST.
  • A successful Industrial Cook will learn to organize their raw materials to reduce the number of times buckets and bags are handled. He/she will learn to move with urgency until cooking is done and clean / organize between recipes.
