Overview:Assist the certification staff with compiling, processing, and managing information for use in state-wide legal certification programs, including certification exams and marketing.  Assist staff with administrative and organizational duties when requested. 
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate development of exam materials, including proofreading and revising exam documents, maintaining organized question banks, scheduling committee meetings, and tracking results and test specifications using ExamSoft or other software.
  • Coordinate and participate in assessment efforts using data from ExamSoft and other resources; retrieve and/or create exam-related data for psychometric analysis using Microsoft Excel (or similar program).
  • Assist with application processing, exam registration, exam proctoring, and exam grading.
  • Assist with coordination and completion of education and training materials, surveys, and events.
  • Assist with creation and implementation of marketing strategy for both programs, and assist with development and distribution of marketing materials, including email campaigns, publication of newsletters, and outreach efforts.
  • Conduct interviews and write articles for the Journal publication and content for the specialization newsletter.
  • Assist staff with administrative duties, including information management, scheduling and organizing meetings, preparing minutes, and general support for program responsibilities.
  • Attend specialization and paralegal program recognition and marketing events.
  • Attend board and committee meetings as needed.
  • Back up for the reception desk.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree required, major in Education, Math/Statistics, Business Administration or Psychology preferred.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, oral and computer communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of and willingness to work with spreadsheet and database programs. Significant familiarity and experience with Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and ExamSoft preferred.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficiency with scheduling meetings and operating online videoconference programs, including Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information, including statistical reports.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and to maintain strict confidentiality of material encountered in work activities.
  • Program or volunteer coordination experience.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and under deadlines.
