Cabinet Maker
New Haven, MI
$18-24/hour
6am-4pm
Summary
The Cabinet Maker will ensure the timely completion and quality of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Operate saws, drills, planers, jointers, routers, boring, tenoning, and mortising machines, shapers, sanders, and other woodworking machinery related to cabinetmaking
- Maintain workspace & machinery
- Assist cabinet makers in all aspects of cabinetry/project production
- Measure and cut materials within 1/64th of an inch tolerance
- Identify wood species and grain by sight
- Read shop drawings/blueprints and develop cut lists if necessary
Required Education and Skills:
- Extensive experience fabricating custom cabinetry, laminate products, and fabrication of solid surface materials
- Journeyman carpenter level abilities
- Ability to read, interpret and work from sketches, drawings, blueprints, and oral or written instruction
- Strong math skills
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and adhere to safety standards
