Job Title: Precision Machinist (CNC Mill or CNC Lathe Specialist)
Location: Fenton, Michigan
Hours: 6AM -4:30 PM, M-F Hours may vary during first week of training (days)
Pay: $18-20 an hour depending on experience

We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist specializing in CNC Mill or CNC Lathe programming and machining. This client has an excellent benefits package upon hire in! Duties:
Program, Edit and Optimize CNC programs for Mill and or Lathe operations. Knowledge of G&M codes preferred.
Set up machine including material, tooling selection, offsets, and fixture alignment.
Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings to accurately produce complex parts.
Select proper cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
Operate CNC Mill or Lathe to manufacture precision components.
Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary to maintain tolerances.
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
Maintain production efficiency while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Inspect and document parts as required on inspection sheets.
Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
2+ years of CNC machining experience (Mill or Lathe specialization).
Proficiency in G-code programming and editing at the machine.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection processes.
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Experience machining a variety of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
