CNC Mill Machinist – CAD/CAM Programmer – Full-Time, Day Shift

We are partnering with a well-respected precision manufacturing company seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with CAD/CAM Programming expertise. This is a dual-role opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys programming and being hands-on with machining.You will be responsible for creating programs using Mastercam while also setting up and operating CNC mills on the production floor. Position Overview:The ideal candidate brings a strong background in both CAD/CAM programming and CNC MILL machining. This individual should be confident programming a range of equipment—including Mazak, Haas, Hurco, Bridgeport, and 5-Axis machines—as well as running setups, selecting tooling, and making necessary on-the-fly adjustments to ensure top-quality results. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and 5-axis applications
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to define machining strategy and tool paths
Set up and run CNC mills, ensuring part accuracy and efficient production flow
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues directly on the floor
Collaborate with shop personnel to streamline workflow and improve process reliability
Maintain accurate documentation, revisions, and backup of CNC programs
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience with Mastercam and CAD/CAM programming tools
Hands-on CNC machining experience including setup, operation, and adjustment
Comfortable working with Mazak, Haas, Hurco, and other vertical/horizontal mills
Strong blueprint reading skills including GD&T interpretation
Understanding of cutting tools, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices
Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused with a commitment to quality
