CNC Machining Technician 

Are you mechanically inclined? Want to have the weekends off? We have a client in the Brighton, area that is looking for a CNC Machining Technician. Our client specializes in precision CNC machining of highly sophisticated components. After 60 years of business, our client has grown from a being a small metals distributor into a sophisticated manufacturing and engineering company, serving industries such as: Aerospace, security & defense, transportation & industrial, power & energy, and medical devices (non-implantable medical components). The CNC Machining Tech will be responsible for set-up and production of the client’s products. If this interests you, APPLY NOW! 

Hours: Monday-Friday (open to shift availability

Pay: $17/hr

Duties:
  • Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with customer specifications, work order instructions, and quality procedures
  • Completes equipment set-ups in accordance with customer specifications, work order instructions, and quality procedures
  • Produces products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. Records operational or production data according to Company instructions
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and other written specifications
  • Inspects parts using specified gaging and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as required
  • Able to use a variety of inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, Tri-check gages, Sunnen Bore gages, pin gages, height gages, comparators, and coordinate measuring machines
  • Checks finishes with use of comparison gages or scribes. Able to visually inspect product to meet customer requirements
  • Performs basic metal finishing as required to remove loose burrs
  • Mark or secure products with proper identifying information ensuring lot control
  • Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner to include returning tools & fixtures to designated areas. Performs basic machine maintenance (fluid levels, cleaning out, etc)
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
  • Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in a related industry
  • Basic computer skills
