Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machinist – Production DepartmentLocation: Fenton, MIHours: 1st Shift 6 AM-2:30 Overtime till 4:30PMPay: $16-17.00  Depending on experience, with overtime opportunities once fully trained and experienced! Do you enjoy working a 1strd shift position,  are you dependable with excellent work history?  Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy the automotive industry? We are looking for a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to support high-volume production operations. You will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC lathes, performing and ensuring all parts meet strict quality standards for our clients. 
Responsibilities:
  1. Setup & Operation: Independently perform 1–5 setups per day on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers or lathes.
  2. Program Optimization: Make necessary machine adjustments, at the machine control to adjust tool paths, speeds, and feeds.
  3. Precision Measurement: Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform first-piece and in-process inspections to tolerances of 
  4. Tool Management: Monitor tool wear, perform tool changes, and adjust offsets to maintain part consistency throughout the production run.
  5. Documentation: Accurately complete production logs and quality check sheets. 
  6. Other duties as may be assigned.
 Requirements:
  1. Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in an active CNC machining role (setup and operation).  Also know of manual machining (Bridgeport mills or manual lathes) is a plus.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Okuma turning centers & controls.
  3. Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and symbols.
  4. Mathematics: Practical application of shop math, including decimals and basic geometry.
