CNC MACHINE OPERATOR - 2nd Shift


Are you looking to use your CNC machining skills without the high stress work environment? We have the perfect place for you! Our client is located in Dryden, MI and needs your machining experience on their 2nd shift. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM with overtime based on production needs. This is a great opportunity for those looking to build their skills or who want a more relaxed work environment. Pay rate $15.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience.

Job Summary: The Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in preparing and manufacturing parts per our customers specifications.


 Supervisory Responsibilities: None.


 Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
  2. Processes the required parts per established specifications and tolerances per customer work order.
  3. Measures & visually inspects finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  4. Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
  5. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  6. Monitors & reacts to safety alarms.
  7. Operate a Hi-Lo (forklift truck) – in house certification provided.
  8. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 Required Skills/Abilities: 
  1. Ability to follow written directions.
  2. Work well in a team.
  3. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
  7. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. No related experience required.
  3. Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements

 Physical Requirements: 
  1. Prolonged periods working on feet, using numeric and hand tools.
  2. Performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, stooping, and twisting.
  3. Must have finger dexterity to use calibers.
  4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  5. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
