Position: Billing SpecialistLocation: Genesee CountyHours: 20-25 hours to start, will eventually transition to full time. M-TH 9am-5pm, F 9am-12:00pmPay: $14+ based on experienceSkill Level: Medical Billing Experience REQUIRED Do you have knowledge of medical billing and coding? Have you previously worked in an office setting? Do you pride yourself on your attention to detail and problem solving skills? If you answered yes to all of these questions we would love to discuss this opportunity with you! Job Duties:• Generate accurate claims in a timely manner • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on claim denials, rejections and outstanding payments • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries • Maintain accurate and organized billing records • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to enhance billing processes • Prepare regular billing reports for management review • Assist in special projects and financial audits as needed Qualifications:• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role • Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Excel • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines • Familiarity with basic accounting principles • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Personal computer, scanner/printer, and reliable internet
