Looking for an early shift? Do you like baking or mixing / matching ingredients? Have you ever worked in manufacturing? Our client, a national food distributor in Richmond, is now hiring Bakery Mixers! Interviews are being conducted for immediate hire! Position: Bakery Mixer – Manufacturing SpecialistLocation: Richmond, VA
Compensation: $17.95/hourSchedule: Monday – Saturday, 4:00am – 12:30pm(5 day/week schedule – occasional overtime required based on production needs)  SUMMARY: The Bakery Mixer is a full-time position that performs a variety of duties associated with mixing and matching ingredients in a timely manner according to guidelines.  

Primary Responsibilities
  • Learn all cake, pie, roll, or icing mixes
  • Produce quality mixes in a timely manner
  • Maintain all sanitation and SQF policies with thorough daily cleaning of area
  • Fulfill all paperwork and Just Foods responsibilities in a timely manner

 JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS: 
  • Follow recipes accurately and efficiently to produce quality food products while adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Operate mixing equipment, scales, and meters, ensuring proper handling of ingredients and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Monitor dough/mixture temperatures, manage production schedules, and ensure timely and efficient mixing to maintain workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform setups, breakdowns, and ingredient replenishment as needed.
  • Comply with food safety standards, including documenting records, inspecting products, and following SQF, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Report food safety issues and potential risks to supervisors, assist in maintaining food safety systems, and be open to learning new procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned 
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed for production and/or holidays 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
  WORK ENVIROMENT: 
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
