ASSEMBLY 2nd Shift

Our client, a leading manufacturer of automobile seats and soft tops, is looking for ASSEMBLERS in their Imlay City facility. Earn $14.75 per hour, normal schedule 4:00 pm to 2:30 am with voluntary overtime.

Responsibilities Include:
  1. To perform all necessary work, per job function, as part of the manufacturing process, as required by management, according to the work instructions and in compliance with customer requirements.
  2. To perform all necessary quality checks during assembly and follow established procedures when defective assemblies or components or process flaws are discovered.
  3. To perform the appropriate start up tasks according to the areas startup check sheet.
  4. To perform the appropriate PM tasks according to the areas PM check sheet.
  5. To immediately alert a Supervisor to conditions of inferior quality or improperly performing equipment so that corrective actions can be planned.
  6. To regularly use safe working practices and to immediately alert the supervisor whenever an unsafe condition exists.
  7. To follow the area plan for housekeeping and to be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
  8. Follow and promote company safety standards to assure a safe work environment.
  1. Understanding IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Requirements that are associated with Toyo Seat.
  2. Assist in training levels of Associates regarding IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Documentation Requirements. 
  1. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by manufacturing supervisor.

Education:
  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities:
  1. Must have the ability to learn and follow standard work practices.
  2. Requires the interpersonal skills and knowledge to work harmoniously with groups and inpiduals.
  3. Able to lift 25-30 pounds at one time and frequent bending during packing process after each assembly.
  4. Must have knowledge of IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Requirements.
