Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00pm-5:00pm Pay: $22.00 Key Responsibilities:The Accountant must be knowledgeable of the following principles, procedures, and concepts:
Knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting.
Ability to check, verify and balance accounts to general ledger.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize work; set priorities and meet critical deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with members of all levels within the organization.
· Skill in using personal computers and relevant office programs.
· Ability to resolve problems in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration;
Experience in Accounting;
Possession of a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties are representative of the work required for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Performs reconciliation of accounts and prepares journal entries.
Performs monthly bank reconciliations and prepares adjusting journal entries.
Preparation of reporting requests as required by governmental and other external agencies.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with user departments, agencies, fellow employees and members of the general public.
