Finance ManagerDirect HirePlymouth, MI$120-130k**looking for experience within manufacturing** Summary: Our client specializes in providing hand protection solutions to various industrial sectors, including automotive, pulp & paper, construction and oil & gas. They are currently looking to add a Finance Manager to their team. The person in this role will be responsible for managing the finances within the business unit including, but not limited to making sure that accurate and timely monthly and regulatory reporting on accounting, taxation and administration are met. Responsibilities:
Recruit, manage, motivate and develop a Finance team.
Ensure accurate books and records for the business are maintained and fully reconciled
Ensure all necessary internal reporting deadlines are met on weekly, monthly or annual basis.
Ensure the team meets all necessary external reporting deadlines
Act as key contact for external auditors, preparing all necessary statutory and year end documentation needed.
Support the Group Managing Director on the annual budgeting process to ensure a realistic budget is prepared and accurately monitored throughout the year
Work with external parties to comply with taxation deadlines/rules, loan covenants, bank requirements
Indirectly manage all employee related benefit plans including 401k
Manage all employee payroll processes and interface with external payroll provider as required
Ensure compliance with all necessary legislation in processing starters, leavers and the payroll
Manage employee expense process
Ensure work is delegated downwards where possible but ensuring all necessary postings, journals and reconciliations are completed
Negotiate annual renewal of corporate property and casualty insurance program with outside broker
Act as key contact for the local external auditors ensuring all necessary audit reporting schedules are created
Act as Finance expert for the business ie supporting project work, commercial reviews and ad hoc work as required
Work with team to implement Sage
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degrees in Finance, Accounting or related field
Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience
Proficient in Financial software, specifically Sage, to effectively manage financial processes and tent date efficiently
Previous experience creating and accurately monitoring the annual budget
Proven experience managing, motivation and developing Finance teams.
Previous experience working with a team to implement financial software, such as Sage
MS Word – excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel knowledge
Exemplary people management skills, able to develop and motivate less experienced colleagues
