Supplier Quality Specialist- Livonia!
The Supplier Quality Specialist position is an entry level position and is responsible for supplier submission
package reviews (PPAP, FAI and customer specific) to ensure that the supply base is meeting the program and
purchase order specification requirements. The Supplier Quality Technician will be trained and supported by
team members on project work and requirements. Candidate must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Successfully review and complete supplier submission package reviews, PPAP, FAI, customer specific.
· Participate in drawing reviews, record findings and report back to Engineering and AQE
· Complete submission package review and upload to supplier portals
· Communicate with suppliers on results of submission packages for full approval.
· Complete regular updates to ASQ Submission tracking documentation and log files
· Provide status updates of supplier submission package issues and resolution.
· Support development of policies and procedures for all supplier-level requirements
· Willing and able to travel up to 25% when applicable.
Education and Experience (required):
· A.S. degree, technical school, or relevant military experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality or
Business with technical background
Education and Experience (preferred):
· Experience in Manufacturing or Quality within the automotive industry or manufacturing environment.
Quality Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (required):
· 1 – 3 years of Supplier Quality and/or Product Quality experience
· Exceptional attention to detailed information compiled on several types of reports and documentation.
· Developing skills in manufacturing and/or quality in automotive industry
· Proficient in reviews of PPAP packages, supplier submission documentation.
· Ability to evaluate dimensional results, material certifications to assure specifications compliance.
· Proficient in Engineering drawing interpretation skills & developing proficiency in GD&T
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint) and Adobe
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (preferred):
· Proficient oral and written communication skills in the English language is strongly preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
· Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems and standards (ISO9001, IATF 16949, etc.)
