Shipping Clerk (1st Shift)
Our client is a growing engineer driven company that creates custom material handling solutions for customers, including the largest e-commerce supplier in the world. Our client started in 2003, and is now occupying three buildings in Coopersville, MI, has 65+ employees!
Shift: 1st Shift 5:00am-3:30pm
Location: Coopersville, MI 49404
Pay: $17.00 to 20.00/hr. (pay issued based on experience)
Job Duties:
Build skids from scratch to properly support loads (carpentry skills and tape measuring skills are required for this position)
Examine shipment contents and compare with records
Prepare materials for shipping by packing, sealing, labeling, and attaching postage to shipments
Tag parts and label them for shipment
Clean and organize shipping area
Take pictures of shipments
Review shipping schedule list and manage time to complete tasks in specified timeframe
Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
Record shipment data, such as weight and dimensions and turn into the supervisor
Deliver or route materials to departments using fork trucks
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Proficient at reading a tape measure
Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
Previous experience driving a hilo
High school diploma or GED equivalent
18 years or older
Must have a valid driver’s license
