Maintenance Technician
Monday-Thursday
3rd shift -8pm - 6am
Oxford, NC
$26/hour
Join our client's team where you will play a crucial role in keeping operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:
Installation of electrical services including the sizing of conduit, wire, fuses, and overloads in compliance with NEC, NFPA and OSHA standards.
Diagnose and repair equipment with electrical or mechanical problems.
Investigate and take necessary action that will reduce problem reoccurrence.
Troubleshoot problems with machine bearings, cams and gears and make repairs as necessary.
Perform preventive maintenance as assigned and log work into database.
Maintain inventory levels of spare parts to support production equipment.
Follow safety guidelines and use of proper PPE.
Perform all work in a safe, neat, and professional manner.
Must be able to follow Hazardous procedures as outlined in work instruction (EWI 0009) on the proper grouping of hazardous, storage, labeling and aisle spacing.
Inspect hazardous waste storage area as required.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures to maintain equipment safely.
Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Degree or GED
2 years electrical experience.
Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatic.
Forklift and scissor lift experience
Knowlege of electrical test equipment, calipers and dial indicators, basic welding and a general knowledge of relay and ladder logic is required.
Must be able to use hand tools and lubrication tools to maintain equipment.
