Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Heat Press Operator OVERVIEW: The Heat Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining heat press machinery to apply heat transfers onto various apparel items. The ideal candidate should have experience working with heat press equipment, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production goals. This position is often cross trained in the Warehouse, Pack by Player, Shipping and Golf areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily: • Set up and operate heat press machinery to apply heat transfers onto apparel items according to production requirements and quality standards. • Monitor equipment operation, making adjustments as necessary to ensure proper heat, pressure, and timing for each job. • Utilize measurement tools such as rulers and read measurements to the nearest 1/8th inch accurately. • Inspect finished products for quality defects, such as misalignment, smudges, or imperfections, and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. • Maintain cleanliness of heat press machinery and work area, including following established cleaning procedures and ensuring that equipment is free from debris or buildup that could affect performance. • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. • Keep accurate records of production output, downtime, and any quality issues encountered during the manufacturing process. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:• High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience with heat press operations in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. What are you waiting for?
