We are HIRING! 
Qualified Staffing - Calhoun is searching for Extrusion Operators for a local international flooring manufacturer in Calhoun. This is a great opportunity to get in with a good company!
Shift: A, B, C, D 12 hour swing shift. (7:00a-7:00p) or (7:00p-7:00a) Salary: $17.89
The Extrusion operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, shutting down and cleaning a production extruder, mixer and other equipment. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Mixes thermoplastic materials in the form of powder with semiautomated feeding systems into the extrusion machine. 
  • Measure and test product to make sure it meets company's specifications. 
  • Responsible for performing quality control checks of in-process and extruded/laminated product. 
  • Interpret and respond to process information from a computer screen and/or viewing in process product. 
  • Understand a schedule while using a computer interface to record production.
  • Attention to detail 
  • Follow directions and recipes precisely and accurately 
  • Weigh, prepare, and transfer batch material into vacuum loader.  
  • Monitor mixer performance and mix quality. 
  • Load rolls with Gantry crane and perform dye or equipment maintenance as required. 
  • Perform maintenance and setup functions for dyes, lamination cylinders, and extruder systems. 
  • Rotate between extruder operator and mixer positions. 
  • Cross trains on other specified jobs and is available to fill in for relief or backup. 
  • Must clean equipment throughout shift and shutdowns.
  • Follow company's safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager. 
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Understand and follow 5S 
  • Knowledge using basic hand tools 
  • Experience operating a Gantry crane is a plus!
