Scope of the Position

The Manager EE primary responsibility will be leading and developing the electronics engineering team of Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Electronics Computer Aided Design, Mechatronics, Functional Safety, EE Lab Services. The Manager EE will be responsible for directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership and completion of global electronics engineering projects across our Client. 

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
  • Analyze electronics and software technology, resources and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
  • Analyze and solve engineering-related problems with the assistance of subject matter experts within and external to department.
  • Direct, review, and approve product design releases and change requests. Coordinates all customer and internal engineering changes
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
  • Develop, implement and improve policies, standards, templates and procedures for the electronics engineering department
  • Develop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations
  • Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with organization and corporate objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
  • Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures.

 Qualifications
  • Seeking candidate with 7-10 years of experience in electronics design with embedded software.
  • Prior program management or supervisory experience – 3-5 years preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, motivation, and supervisory qualitiesgate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Mechatronics emphasis. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge and execution experience of ASPICE and Functional Safety (ISO 26262). 
  • Experience using requirements capture tools like Siemen Polarion, DOORS, or similar systems.
  • Ability to identify industry trends, and develop technologies to address those trends.
  • Proven ability to create and execute product development plans that have achieved the identified target
  • Exceptional organizational skills with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Professional and mature demeanor under stressful situation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills in a work environment with focus on continuous improvement 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and the ability to develop recommendations accordingly
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
