Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our client's team in Swartz Creek. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming lathes, mills, and mill-turn centers using CAD/CAM software. In addition to programming skills, proficiency in setting up and operating both manual and CNC equipment is essential. The role involves a range of responsibilities including CNC programming, machine setup, operation, maintenance, and quality assurance within ISO 9001 requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Program CNC machines from solid drawing files using CAD/CAM software.
• Set up and operate computer-controlled (CNC) machinery.
• Edit CNC programs to optimize processes or correct errors.
• Inspect parts to ensure conformance to blueprints.
• Set up and run manual lathes and mills.
• Create and revise work processes as necessary.
• Maintain tool inventories and perform machinery maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate within ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in CNC machining.
• Proficiency in programming lathes, mills, and mill-turn centers with CAD/CAM.
• Ability to set up and run both manual and CNC equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of measuring tools and machining techniques.
• Strong understanding of mechanics, shop mathematics, and metal properties.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
Job Requirements:
• Experience in print/CAD to part processes.
• Proficiency in CNC programming.
• Ability to conduct machine setups for production runs.
• Experience with GD&T, G-Code, and M-Code.
• Manual machining skills.
