Job Description

Position Title: CAD Designer/EngineerPay: $18-$30 an hourLocation: Owosso Mi  Our Owosso Client is seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer/Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software platforms for industrial equipment fabrication and installation packages. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop, modify, and update P&ID, assembly, and fabrication drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications and deadlines. The CAD Designer/Engineer will also be tasked with maintaining accurate design documentation, preparing detailed BOMs, and demonstrating flexibility in accommodating multiple drawing iterations. Requirements: 
  1. Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks software platforms to create precise 2D and 3D designs for industrial equipment fabrication and installation packages.
  2. Develop, modify, and update P&ID, assembly, and fabrication drawings according to project specifications and requirements.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for drawings and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  4. Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints while creating and revising designs, demonstrating flexibility in accommodating multiple drawing iterations as necessary.
  5. Maintain accurate design documentation and prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support project execution and procurement processes.
  6. Review prints, plans, specifications, and other customer/team documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  7. Assist in coordinating activities with other team members to facilitate seamless project execution and completion.
  8. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing valuable insights and suggestions for enhancing design efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in CAD software and technology to continuously improve design capabilities and workflows.
  10. Uphold safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all team members.
  11. Support other related duties
 Qualifications: 
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software platforms.
  3. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in industrial equipment design and fabrication.
  4. Strong understanding of P&ID, assembly, and fabrication drawings
